AUBG International Food Festival

Thanks to some followers on my Facebook page, I have been getting to know some people at the American University in Bulgaria. I am working with them to set up a student chapter of Slow Food AUBG. They invited me a few weeks ago to attend the International Food Festival as part of the International Week.

I started off the day visiting Mark, who is in charge of all things food for the school. He was hosting the students from Moldova, as they were short a kitchen. They had an unfair advantage over my opinions of the other countries’ cuisines because I was sampling and nibbled while it was fresh and warm!

One of my favorites Mongolia! I had a chance years back to visit the Mongolian Embassy for a special Khorkhog lunch with the International Women’s Club.

It was a nice evening of food and meeting new friends. I look forward to visiting again and participating as a speaker for TedxAUBG this April… Stay tuned for details and videos!
